*Essential Oils- please also see appendix
*No claims are being made about healing/medicinal properties of any essential oils-also not discounting your positive experiences with essential oils.
Eucalyptus oil- Fresh clean smell. Freshen air, open airways, skin clarity, achy muscle soothing. Too much makes your eyes water! But really…who doesn’t love eucalyptus?
Tea Tree oil- A lot of people use Tea Tree oil for medicinal properties some sources say antifungal, antibacterial, repair damaged hair. It has a very medicinal scent.
Peppermint oil- Possibly reduce inflammation, improve sleep, boost mood, reduce anxiety. I do know it make a great gum flavor and invigorating soap or hand & foot cream. It actually settles my stomach, but that is me. If you have had a previous run in with schnapps—you may not enjoy peppermint.
Orange Oil- Smells like oranges. Concentration, Mood Lift and Refreshing. Steam distilled oil from orange fruit.
Vanilla Oil- Warm, rich slightly sweet. May trigger happy memories and warm relaxation. Plant sourced.
Jasmine oil- An elegant scent, can balance bad mood, lift spirits, enhance self-confidence. Good for Skin Care: Jasmine essential oil is suitable for dry, oily, and sensitive skin care. It increases skin elasticity and makes skin feel tender. Jasmine is fresh and charming, romantic with quiet vitality. Date night…oohlala
Cedarwood oil- Calm the mind, relax the body, promote peace. Sooth acne, calm irritated skin, improve the appearance of spots…maybe idk, but it smells nice.
Spearmint oil- Rejuvenate! Energy and concentration. Fresh and uplifting. Gum.
Patchouli oil- has a strong, musky, and sweet smell. Patchouli oil is very rich and earthy, with an herbal and balsamic scent. A little bit goes a Looong way, and I liken it to how people perceive cilantro---you either like it or you don’t! In small amounts to anchor scents it can be a game changer.
Clary Sage oil- Steam distilled from dried sage leaves. Balance your hormones, regulate mood swings, a calming effect. Balance oil production, improve enlarged pores. Who knows, but that’s what they say. Go check out your spice cupboard…that’s how this one smells.
Sandalwood oil- Woodsy and earthy. Deeply grounding. Aromatically, Sandalwood Essential Oil is rich, woody yet sweet. It is frequently utilized in high end fragrances and is a favorite amongst both men and women.
Geranium oil- from Egypt, smells naturally fresh and floral. I guess mosquitoes and other pests don’t like it. The fragrance can bring a whole new feel to any room or product for a relaxing and emotional ease kinda mood. I have heard that it can balance the moisture levels in your skin, promote a healthy complexion, make your hair shiny and give you confidence. But I haven’t tried it. I am excited to blend this oil with others and see what amazing scents I can come up with.
Lavender oil- Calm fresh floral fragrance. Relieve scalp itching…improve acne and skin appearance. Again, I don’t make claims about what essential oils can do, but I personally do like the fresh floral smell of lavender lightly used.

Essential oils, snake oils and potions:
Essential oils are from nature and may have known properties. The oils we use are steam distilled and tested for purity and composition by GC/MS, MSDS, COA, IFRA, etc. We don’t get them at WM ha-ha!
No claims of efficacy are made with the listed distributor properties. Have I used peppermint to combat nausea? Yes. Did it help? Also, yes. Have I performed peer reviewed research or completed a meta-analysis to prove that? No. Can I guarantee you will have my same experience? Also, no. Happy smelling.
I like it strong, but it’s not OR I like it faint, but it’s not:
Essential oils and fragrance oils have safety regulations (IFRA) on the usage rates in various bath and body products such as lotion, butters and wash off products---(even candles…but I don’t make those). We follow the IFRA usage rates and typically use up to, or close to, the recommended rates for a particular product. We cannot safely make it “more potent or stronger” than recommended by IRFA guidelines. We can, however, lightly scent products to the preference of the user…or simply add no fragrance at all.
Sensitivities are specific to the individual, be aware of your personal sensitivities. We are not responsible for reactions to you have to products; those are the responsibility of the user. We recommend doing a patch test with new products and ingredients to make sure they are right for you.
In addition, colorants or fragrances may not be approved in all applications. For example: Not all micas are safe as leave on products for skin, so we won’t use those pigments in body butter or lotions.
Colorants
We use micas and natural ingredients to color products. Natural ingredients could include spices, florals, and the like.
Mica- Most colored micas begin as a natural greyish-white mineral formed deep inside the earth. Natural mica is mined and ground into a fine powder that forms the base for the colored mica. During the manufacturing process, the naturally greyish mica powder is coated with various synthetic pigments to create different colors and finishes.
So, while it begins as a natural product, colored mica will not be 100% natural since the color pigment added to the natural mica base is synthetic (Natural colors can contain arsenic, lead, mercury, and other harmful compounds so they are NOT used to manufacture colored mica).
***Since mica begins as a mineral that must be mined from the earth, child labor is an industry-wide concern. We do not and will not buy mica from any source that does not explicitly say their product is ethically sourced. That is a hard NO for us.
We have not seen an ethically sourced mica that did not also list “no animal testing”…I mean we are not about that life either.
SOME oils or colorants may not safe for all applications…we follow those guidelines too.
Oils and butters
There are considerations when purchasing oils as well. A little history on palm oils: the use of palm oils became a fast path to profit in the 60’s. In addition, it has amazing properties- crispier food, smoother lipstick, cheap to source—but at the cost of deforestation and unethical sourcing. Check your favorite products and fast-food restaurants to find out where they are getting their palm oil---they are using A LOT of it. In the last 20 years there has been a significant move towards ethical sourcing that does not contribute to deforestation and even tropical countries planting and farming it for income, much like we do here with corn crops in the Midwest. All that to say palm oil is not bad in soap if ethically sourced. In your food…well that is a different conversation. 😊
Shea butter- sourcing this butter also requires some research- many beautiful women in West Africa are making a living for their families by manufacturing shea butter for the world- look up some videos...it’s amazing to learn about this.

We strive use recycled everything where we can…we are on board for the reduce, re-use, recycle ideals.
